
Sun Tubes work by directing daylight from roof level through a reflective tube which can be directed around the roof construction as required.
Sun Tubes are perfect for bringingnatural light into any area that is too small or too difficult to install a traditional rooflight, such as a dark hallway, corridor or bathroom. Sun Tubes can be installed with minimal disturbance to the roof and ceiling and they can be fitted to most types of flat and pitched roofs.
Each Sun Tube flexible kit includes:
- Square low profile flat glass unit
- Roof flashing panel.
- 3m long flexible reflective tube with a bayonet connector.
- Lower tube ceiling mounting ring.

UK tests show that a 3m long flexible Sun Tube on a 550mm diameter unit can achieve anything up to 14 times the equivalent of a 100 watt bulb. (1500 lux compared to 105 lux.)
For maximum daylight output the Sun Tube should be located on a south facing roof slope and/or as high as possible, out of any shadow of tall trees and buildings. The Sun Tube should also be installed to give the most direct run from roof to ceiling level.
No specific level of light transmission can be guaranteed because specific applications and external light conditions are beyond our control.

Rooflights & Skylights polycarbonate domes are manufactured from enhanced polycarbonate that will not show excessive changes in colour or loss of light transmission, nor will they break due to loss of impact strength, due to weathering, within 10 years from the date of sale.
