Standard Glazing Specification

Each walk-on rooflight is engineered with safety, strength and thermal efficiency in mind.

  • Outer Pane: 33 mm clear toughened and heat-soak tested walk-on glass with a black perimeter border for a clean, contemporary finish.
  • Inner Pane: 6 mm clear toughened and heat-soak tested safety glass featuring a high-performance Low-E coating to enhance thermal insulation.
  • Centre Pane U-Value: 1.1 W/(m²·K)
  • Load Ratings: Designed to withstand 1.5 kN/m² uniformly distributed load and a 2 kN concentrated load, making the unit suitable for regular foot traffic.

This unit is designed for installation onto a site-built upstand or kerb. The size you order corresponds to the external finished and weathered dimensions of that upstand or kerb.

A minimum upstand thickness of 100 mm is recommended for this product. Each Astroglaze Walk-On Flat Glass Rooflight is supplied fully assembled and factory-glazed, allowing for quick and straightforward installation on site.
