Shop for Flat Roof Windows and Skylights

At R&S, we've supplied flat roof windows for UK homes and extensions for over 42 years - from stock sizes (600x600mm up to 2000x1000mm) to bespoke units built to order.

Our range includes fixed rooflights for a clean, frameless finish, and hinged rooflights in manual or electric opening configurations for ventilation. All units are double or triple-glazed, with free mainland UK delivery.

Whether you're planning a period extension, contemporary new-build or loft conversion, a roof lantern might suit a larger opening where you want more height, more light, and a more traditional aesthetic.

Backed by over 580 verified five-star reviews on REVIEWS.io, our range covers builders' kerbs and PVC kerb-formats across all three product types.

Choosing a Flat Roof Window

Three things matter when picking a flat rooflight: the kerb you're fitting it to (builders' or PVC), whether you need it to open for ventilation, and your target U-value. The next three blocks cover each in order.

Brett Martin Flat Glass Rooflight Electric Hinge with PVC Kerb - Rooflights & Skylights

Why choose flat rooflights?

Flat glass rooflights provide a modern look to any project and are a great way to add natural sunlight into the space below, so you can rely less on artificial lighting while brightening up the area.

Where a roof lantern projects above the roofline, a flat rooflight sits flush, giving you the same flood of daylight with a quieter, more contemporary look from outside.

Can flat rooflights be used in a commercial setting?

Yes. The fixed glass and access-hatch units in this range are CE-marked, supplied with toughened or laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150, and meet Part L thermal requirements at U-values from 1.0 W/m2K.

They're regularly specified for offices, schools and retail fit-outs as well as residential extensions.

What are flat rooflights made from?

Flat rooflights have an aluminium frame and clear laminated or toughened safety glass, which can be double-glazed or triple-glazed in some units. For hinged flat rooflights, the hinges are made from stainless steel to prevent rusting.

These rooflights are designed with low maintenance in mind, so all materials are built to last and stand up to weather conditions and usage.
